Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 1225 Union Avenue, in The Bronx’s Morrisania neighborhood. The site is ten blocks away from the Intervale Avenue Subway Station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Fredi Bori of the Bori Construction Corporation will be responsible for development.

The 37-foot tall structure will yield 5,800 square feet for residential use. Eight apartments will be created, averaging 725 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. No new parking spaces will be created.

Badaly Architects will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits were filed for the single-story garage in early November. Should the project get a speedy approval, the estimated completion date is less than two years out.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: For once I agree with you on this page, I’m optimistic about my thinking.

  2. Should not use blocks to describe distances in NYC since they are not uniform in length. This site is 0.4 miles from the Freeman St station which serves the #2 and 5 subway trains. About a 9-minute walk or 3-minute bicycle ride according to Google Maps.
