Permits have been filed for a seven-story community facility at 1892 Belmont Avenue, in The Bronx’s Tremont neighborhood. The site is ten blocks away from West Farms Square, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. The Tremont Train Station is eight blocks away, serviced by the Harlem line of Metro North. Paul Gjonaj of M.P. Realty Group will be responsible for the development.

The 70-foot tall structure will yield 27,250 square feet of space, with 23,750 square feet dedicated to the use of a non-profit institution’s sleeping accommodations. 40 bedrooms will be created, averaging 594 square feet apiece.

Guests will have access to a laundry room and storage space within the cellar. Community facility offices will occupy a portion of the ground floor. As of now, it is unclear who will be operating the facility.

KR Design Group LLC will be responsible for the architecture.

The lot has been undeveloped for at least a decade. The new development would be good for filling in the hole. The estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: I agreed that I would, I would like to see a seven-story constructs on its design.

  2. Yes like a mental facility with assisted living. Whenever you see a security guard instead of a doorman. You already know.
