Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 79 Powers Street, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The site is four blocks away from the Lorimer Street subway station, serviced by the L and G trains. The area is saturated with plenty of retail spots, as one might expect for the neighborhood. Developer Arik Bar-Chaim is behind the applications.

The 50-foot tall structure will yield 5,400 square feet of space, with 4,990 square feet dedicated to residential use. Seven apartments will be created, averaging 713 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. One of the two units on the fourth floor will extend into a penthouse.

Saleh & Associates will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits have not been filed, and the estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: Listening RCA Dance Hits and read a four-story. (Hello YIMBY)

    • It is a shame to see all these hugh buildings in this neighborhood. People that live in them always have loud music and parties.

  2. With all these developments going on around my neighborhood. I had a feeling this house was going to get demolished for some expensive luxury apartment

  3. Look how much square footage is being lost on the front area of that house. It was insatiable for this house to go.
