Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 30-38 29th Street, in Astoria, Queens. The site is three blocks away from the 30th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains, and a block away from Athens Square. The famous Socrates Sculpture Park is also twelve blocks away. Ascent Development will be responsible for the project.
The 70-foot tall structure will yield 13,860 square feet for residential use. 20 apartments will be created, averaging 693 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. A laundry room and ten bicycle parking spaces will be included in the cellar. Ten vehicle parking spaces will be included on the ground floor, with a rooftop terrace crowning the building.
Bluarch Architecture will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits have not been filed for the existing structure. The expected completion date has not been announced.
