Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 112 Schaefer Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The site is seven blocks away from the Chauncey Street subway station, serviced by the J and Z trains. Seven blocks in the opposite direction is the Wilson Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Coby Perets is listed as responsible for the development.
The 55-foot tall structure will yield 8,530 square feet, with 6,600 square feet dedicated to residential use. Eight apartments will be created, averaging 825 square feet apiece, indicating rental. The cellar will include accessory storage space to be used by residents on the first floor.
Banji Awosika Architect is responsible for the design.
Demolition permits have not been filed for the existing two-story structure. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
