Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 744 Lafayette Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The neighborhood has had a parade of new permits this year, with this being the 20th covered by YIMBY in 2018. Shai Birenzweig is listed as behind the applications.
The site is three avenues away from the Bedford-Nostrand Avenues subway station, serviced by the G trains. It will also benefit from being less than an avenue away from Herbert Von King Park, featuring an amphitheater, baseball diamond, and community garden.
The 62-foot tall building will yield 6,270 square feet for residential use. Seven apartments will be created, averaging 895 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. A duplex penthouse will crown the project. Residents will have access to a laundry room and accessory storage.
Infocus is listed as responsible for the design.
The lot is currently vacant, meaning construction can start as soon as the permits are approved. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
