Permits have been filed for a 151-key hotel at 97-18 Sutphin Boulevard in Jamaica, Queens. The site is four blocks from the Sutphin Boulevard subway station, serviced by the E and J trains, and connecting to the JFK AirTrain. The LIRR also runs through the area, at the Jamaica train station three blocks from the site. MP Hospitality is listed as responsible for the development.
The 95-foot tall, nine-story structure will yield 51,800 square feet, with 50,050 square feet dedicated to commercial use. Guests will have access to a lobby, fitness center, breakfast room, and a rooftop terrace.
S M Tam Architect will be responsible for the design.
Demolition permits have not yet been filed for any of the existing structures. Completion is expected by the end of the year.
