Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 132-77 Metropolitan Avenue, in Kew Gardens, Queens. The site is located right across from the Jamaica Van Wyck subway station, serviced by the E trains, and one stop away from the connection to the JFK air train. Metro Garden LLC will be responsible for the development.
The 60-foot tall structure will yield 17,800 square feet, with 1,180 square feet dedicated to an unspecified community facility, 1,580 square feet for ground floor retail, and 11,400 square feet for residential use. Ten apartments will be created, averaging 1,140 square feet apiece, indicating condominiums. Residents will have access to a laundry room, lobby and recreation space.
Bricolage Designs will be responsible for the architecture.
The lot is vacant, meaning construction can start as soon as permits are approved. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
