Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 8478 130th Street in Kew Gardens, The Bronx. Located at the intersection of 130th Street and Metropolitan Avenue, the lot is near the Jamaica-Van Wyck subway station, served by the E train. Karan Zoria is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 87-foot-tall development will yield 44,519 square feet, with 37,990 square feet designated for residential space, 5,974 square feet for commercial space, and 554 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 57 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 666 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and 11 enclosed parking spaces.
Gerald Caliendo Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits where filed in June for the structure on the property. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
