The Yonkers Industrial Development Agency (IDA) has released renderings of two forthcoming affordable housing developments—Dayspring Commons and 9-11 Riverdale Avenue—that will comprise a total of 92 rental homes and a small amount of commercial area.
Dayspring Commons is located at 227 Elm Street in the Nodine Hill neighborhood of southwest Yonkers, and will comprise 63 rental homes designated for families and individuals who qualify for supportive or affordable housing. The six-story building’s mix of apartments will include 55 two-bedrooms, 5 single-bedroom units, and 3 three-bedroom homes. There will also be a two-story parking garage with 55 parking spaces, on-site community services, a lounge, laundry, and a landscaped yard area.
The IDA also granted preliminary approvals for Erin Construction & Development Co. to develop 9-11 Riverdale Avenue, a nine-story building that will include both residential and commercial components. The property will offer 6 studios, 21 single-bedroom units, and 2 two-bedroom units for a total of 29 rental homes. Future occupants will also have access to a rooftop terrace and 700 square feet of common area for storage and bike racks. Approximately 2,150 square feet of commercial space will occupy the building’s ground floor.

Please pardon me for using your space: Look like satellite town on new renderings reveal. I will drop a lawsuit when I see its design. (Thanks to Sebastian Morris)
