Permits have been filed for a three-story apartment building at 69-03 Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria, Queens. Located between Hazen Street and 70th Street, the corner lot is about 15 blocks east of the Ditmars Boulevard subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Andrew Zoitas is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 31-foot-tall development will yield 18,727 square feet, with 13,403 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 15 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 893 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and nine enclosed parking spaces.
Jorge E. Cherres of Carusone & Cherres Architects is responsible for the design.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

15 blocks from the train, and they will still charge $2500 a month for 1 bedroom.. everyone in NYC is rich, or they have to have roommates, and be co-dependent losers. NYC today sucks, and 10 yrs from now, it will be Brazil. Rich or Poor. No middle-class, as they could never save for retirement when all their money goes to already rich greedy fucks!!!!!!!
It’s just sad they had to knock down the church to build an apartment building.
True and Fact .. Get out of NYC and Astoria – It’a a disgrace of human kind and epic proportions .. Such greed will be Judge by God
For all Astorian-SlumLords- Your Greedy , improvised practices will soon come to your Demise.
