It’s a shame the most interesting part of this project will get demolished. It doesn’t have to happen this way.

  2. The facade needs to be incorporated into the new hotel. Don’t trash the Bronx by letting this be demolished.

  3. 162nd and 163rd Third ave. Will it take less than a year to be a homeless shelter?

  4. Local library name notwithstanding, of course only these people of this website call the area “Woodstock”. lmfao, again

  5. Even though I see more and more bus loads of tourists visit my neighborhood daily. I’m not sure they want to stay in the Bronx for a visit? They come and look at a few murals. Two to be exact. Take pics of them. May go in to a store to get a drink. And they get back on the bus. They spend very little in my area. When I travel I try to purchase things to bless the economy. The Third ave area is a vibrant area with new buildings going up. And retail stores and a new stage for performances. So hopefully this won’t become a shelter right in the mix. Give the area a chance! We have Boricua college there too.

    • Needs more in the way of tourist attractions. Most of the commercial activity is oriented towards residents, basic amenities.

  6. Yes I know Woodstock terraces is up the block. I just thought it was their name. Not the name of the area.

  7. Well the time to invest is now as the Second Ave subway WILL eventually snake it’s way up Third to Fordham. It’s going to be a real estate bonanza when that happens.

  8. It would be sad not to see the current facade incorporated in the new building.

I was about to call out YIMBY for getting the neighborhood wrong, this is not Woodstock but you guys beat me to it. Anyway, I was hoping this building would become a mixed use facility, beer hall, market etc..Now we’ll get a hotel with a pharmacy or discount store on the ground floor instead of a nice cafe or something more useful to the neighborhood @TheBronxPulse Twitter and Instagram.

  10. Please no setback.
