Permits have been filed for a nine-story mixed-use building at 37 Hillside Avenue in Fort George, Manhattan. Located between Elwood Street and Bogardus Place, the lot is near Dyckman Street subway station and the 191st Street station, both serviced by the 1 train. Riseboro Community Partnership is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 95-foot-tall development will yield 238,578 square feet, with 94,729 square feet designated for residential space and 7,220 square feet for community facilities. The building will have 164 affordable housing residences for seniors with an average unit scope of 577 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 32-foot-long rear yard.

Gloria Glas of SLCE Architects is listed as the architect of record. The rendering reveals a brick facade with a partial setback on the eighth floor and a rooftop terrace.

Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Its on Hillside Ave not between Ellwood and Bogardus!! Im glad they are giving senior citizens an opportunity for housing but hopefully they wont have cars cause there no where to park already!!
