Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 521 East 98th Street in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located on the corner of Strauss Street and East 98th Street, the lot is near the Saratoga Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2, 3, and 4 trains. Brookdale Hospital Medical Center is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 186,146 square feet, with 121,938 square feet designated for residential space and 14,282 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 160 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 762 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar.

Dattner Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
