Permits have been filed for a six-story school at 1660 Boone Avenue in Charlotte Gardens, The Bronx. Located between East 173rd Street and East 174th Street, the lot is five blocks east of the East 174th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Basanti Mitra is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 67-foot-tall development will yield 52,187 square feet, with 43,606 square feet designated for community facility space. The concrete-based building will have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Stephen B. Jacobs Group is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in July of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
