Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 589 Christopher Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located on the corner of New Lots Avenue and Christoper Avenue, the lot is four blocks from the New Lots Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Procida Companies is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 94-foot-tall development will yield 245,810 square feet, with 173,283 square feet designated for residential space and 13,913 square feet for commercial use. The building will have 208 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 833 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and four enclosed parking spaces.
Perkins Eastman is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
