Permits have been filed for a ten-story residential building at 1883 Crotona Avenue in Crotona, The Bronx. Located between East 176th Street and Fairmount Place, the lot is near the West Farms Square-East Tremont Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. SEBCO Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 105-foot-tall development will yield 107,113 square feet, with 87,411 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 134 AIRS non-profit residences for the elderly with an average unit scope of 652 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Fernando Villa of Magnusson Architecture and Planning is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

The picture is not showing 1883 address. I believe 1883 may be the empty lot across the street. Formerly a parking garage.
The 2 and 5 subway is about 11 blocks away. Definitely a bus ride to the train.
More informative to say it’s about an +-18 minute walk/+-7 minute bike ride/+-14 minute bus ride. Blocks are not the same size, not sure why NYYimby keeps using that measure.
Good information but does that really count the stop lights and street crossings and traffic. That may make it actually a 35 minute walk?
I pulled the estimate from Google Maps which is pretty good about it.
