Permits have been filed for 15 four-story residential buildings at 406-461 Vandalia Avenue in East New York, Brooklyn. Located between Gateway Drive and Essex Street, the multiple lots are closest to the New Lots Avenue subway station, serviced by the 3 train. The city’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed developments range from 37 to 65 feet in height and will yield 6,642 to 7,281 square feet, with 6,642 to 6,841 square feet designated for residential space. The buildings will each have eight residences, although it is unclear what affordable housing demographics will be targeted.
MHG Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lots is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
