The latest phase of Silverstein Properties’ extensive restoration of the Equitable Building at 120 Broadway includes a series of street art inspired murals within the landmarked tower. Located on the third floor, the installations bring new life to the century-old office building.
Commissioned artists include local muralists Pablo Ancona, Sam Meyerson, Lynne Yun, and Sebastien Dauchez, in addition to Michael Iver Jacobson, an illustrator based in St. Paul, MN. The four artists completed their works at an invite-only event on Monday, November 18.

Completed in 1915, the Equitable Building stands 538 feet above ground and occupies an entire parcel that is bound by Broadway, Nassau Street, Cedar Street, and Pine Street. Silverstein’s restoration of the building took approximately two years to complete and is valued at an estimated $50 million.
Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle, the two-year overhaul of the building also includes construction of The Bankers Club, a 20,000-square-foot-space on the 40th floor of the building. The club includes an 8,000-square-foot indoor lounge, a cafe, a food hall, and an outdoor roof deck for tenants. Additional upgrades include bicycle storage with locker rooms and showers, new elevator cab finishes, new security turnstiles, and a fully refurbished lobby with vaulted ceilings.
