Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 1985 Honeywell Avenue in West Farms, The Bronx. Located between East Tremont Avenue and East 178th Street, the interior lot is near the West Farms Square-East Tremont Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Paul Durgaj of Durgaj Properties under the 1981-85 Honeywell LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 29,172 square feet, with 21,318 square feet designated for residential space and 1,722 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 33 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 646 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 48-foot-long rear yard.
Fred Geremia Architects & Planners is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
