Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 61 East 53rd Street in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Remsen Avenue and Winthrop Street, the lot is near the Saratoga Avenue subway station, serviced by the 3 train. Jeffrey Zagelbaum under the Preferred 51 East 53rd LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 16,014 square feet, with 14,684 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 20 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 734 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 36-foot-long rear yard.
Oleg Ruditser of Engineering Professional SVCS is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
