Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 1355 White Plains Road in Parkchester, The Bronx. Located at the intersection of the Cross Bronx Expressway and White Plains Road, the lot is a short walk to the Parkchester subway station, serviced by the 6 train. Aldo Leonforti under the Forti Plaza LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 40,200 square feet, with 27,402 square feet designated for residential space, 2,971 square feet for commercial space, and 2,035 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 35 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 782 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and 18 enclosed parking spaces.

Hackjong Choi of Cornerstone Design is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  2. Good to see that they might be condos rather than low-income housing, of which the surrounding neighborhoods have plenty. Looks like “Cornerstone Designs” has done some interesting work before.
