Permits have been filed for a 16-story residential building at 1810 Watson Avenue in Soundview, The Bronx. Located at the intersection of Thieriot Avenue and Watson Avenue, the development will be called Casa Celina and also have the address 1001 Thieriot Avenue. The corner lot is two blocks south of the St. Lawrence Avenue subway station, serviced by the 6 train. New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is listed as the owner behind the applications. Developers for the project include developed Xenolith Partners, The Kretchmer Companies, ELH Mgmt., and JASA.
The proposed 182-foot-tall development will yield 452,007 square feet, with 125,164 square feet designated for residential space and 3,475 square feet for community facility space. The concrete-based building will have 201 senior housing residences that NYCHA announced would be part of the Justice Sonia Sotomayor Houses.
Fernando Villa of Magnusson Architecture and Planning is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Is this Casa Celina or another development? If Casa Celina, which makes sense at 16 floors and Magnusson Architecture and Planning, this will be located on Watson Avenue and Thieriot Avenue, two intersections east.
Will be a good looking development to watch.
