Permits have been filed for a four-story residential building at 3823 Carpenter Avenue in Olinville, The Bronx. Located between East 220th Street and East 221st Street, the interior lot is a short walk to the 219th Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Aleks Kalaj of Continental Construction is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 37-foot-tall development will yield 9,495 square feet, with 8,730 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 14 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 623 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Bronx-based Fred Geremia Architects & Planners is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in April for the two-story frame house on the lot. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
