Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 5 Withers Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of North 9th Street and Withers Street, the corner lot is a short walk to the Bedford Avenue subway station, serviced by the L train. Yisroel Greenfeld under the Sunshine Plaza LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 73-foot-tall development will yield 15,931 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 23 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 692 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a 50-foot-long rear yard and 12 enclosed parking spaces.
Diego Aguilera Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Developments require patience, and time to reach the goal: Hello New York YIMBY.
The owners of this property should maintain it. There is tons of trash and it is a total eye sore for the neighborhood.
