Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 132-47 Metropolitan Avenue in Kew Gardens, Queens. Located between 132nd Street and Kew Gardens Road, the interior lot is steps from the Jamaica-Van Wyck subway station, serviced by the E train. Leonid Bogomolniy under the 132-47 Metro LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 22,670 square feet, with 14,999 square feet designated for residential space and 4,800 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 21 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 714 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 38-foot-long rear yard and 11 enclosed parking spaces.
Zarina Kindo of Kindo Holdings is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in May of this year. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
