Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 514 Herkimer Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Albany Avenue and Troy Avenue, the interior lot is two blocks east of the Kingston-Throop Avenues subway station, serviced by the A and C trains. Oren Shalev under the 514 Herkimer LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 16,064 square feet, with 12,522 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 15 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 834 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and eight enclosed parking spaces.

Robert Bianchini of ARC Architecture + Design Studio is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Hi Will graduates of Doe fund be eligible for these apartments? I am a 2002 graduate. I am currently in a family shelter, with my 2 great grandchildren. Would I be eligible for these apartments?
