Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 1281 Hoe Avenue in Crotona Park East, The Bronx. Located between Freeman Street and Jennings Street, the lot is less than one block north of the Freeman Street subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Mark Shakarov under the 1281 Hoe Avenue LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 74-foot-tall development will yield 26,521 square feet, with 22,136 square feet designated for residential space and 2,169 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 48 residences, with an average unit scope of 461 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 30-foot-long rear yard but no accessory parking.
Gerald J. Caliendo Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in September of this year for the residential structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
