Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 26-41 3rd Street in Astoria, Queens. Located at the intersection of 27th Avenue and 3rd Street, the corner lot is closest to the Astoria Boulevard subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Yitzchok Katz under the Developing NY State LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 93,537 square feet, with 40,658 square feet designated for residential space, 14,780 square feet for commercial space, and 14,681 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 58 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 701 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 32-foot-long rear yard, and 29 enclosed parking spaces.
Naresh Mahangu of NY Building Associates Inc is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
