Sales launched this week for 1228 Madison Avenue, a 20-story residential building on the Upper East Side. The project is developed by CBSK Ironstate, a partnership of CB Developers, SK Development, and Ironstate, and designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects with interiors by Kelly Behun Studio.
1228 Madison Avenue will yield 14 full-floor homes and a duplex penthouse, with pricing for a four-bedroom, 3.5-bath starting at $7,950,000 and one six-bedroom duplex penthouse priced at $17,500,000. For the initial sales launch, only four residences will be available, including the third floor, ninth floor, eleventh floor, and the duplex located on floors 14 and 15.
“We are excited to introduce 1228 Madison Avenue to the market,” said SK Development’s Scott Shnay. “The building is a refreshing addition with an intimate scale perfectly suited for locals and families seeking a home in the heart of the Upper East Side. Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Kelly Behun Studio have brought to life residences that are rooted in the great history of our city, but possess a sensibility that looks towards its future.”
The majority of residences have Juliet balconies and private outdoor spaces. Units feature Calacatta marble finishings and burnished nickel fixtures and hardware, ceiling heights ranging from 9 feet 3 inches to 18 feet 6 inches, and custom Lacanche stovetops.
Amenities include a lobby designed by Behun, a communal rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Central Park, and a gym with a training studio.
The sales gallery is located at 1236 Madison Avenue. An on-site model residence is expected to be unveiled in early 2021 with occupancy estimated for fall 2021.
