More competing for resources when people are already struggling. WTF? When people have to complete in lottery systems for “affordable housing” that only serves to make things that much harder. Hard enough to even get section 8 voucher much less find any housing. Competition of resources should be given to the wealthy let them be the ones to get the headaches and the stress of trying to figure it all out. Especially in a place like New York City.

NY Yimby reports non qualifying properties as affordable. There can be No lotteries for affordable housing under Federal mandates. Your headlines throw people off, especially when we have hundreds of thousands of human beings who need affordable housing. You’re using a misnomer to attract readers.
Cathy, Wikipedia’s definition is different from New York City’s. We have covered the City’s definitions of affordable housing (however tenuous they may be) extensively. Also, “affordable” isn’t even in the headline here.
