The affordable housing lottery has launched for 61 Schaefer Street, a four-story residential building in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The 7,343-square-foot masonry development was designed by ARC Architecture + Design Studio and yields eight units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are three units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $76,286 to $139,620.
Residential amenities include a rooftop terrace and security cameras. Residences will have washers and dryers in units, hardwood floors, dishwashers in unit, air conditioning, energy-efficient appliances, and either a patio or balcony.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there is three one-bedrooms with a $2,225 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $76,286 to $139,620.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 3, 2021.
