Permits have been filed for an 11-story Affordable Independent Residences for Seniors building at 2224 Cropsey Avenue in Gravesend, Brooklyn. Located between Bay Parkway and Bayview Place, the through lot is three blocks from the Bay Parkway subway station, serviced by the D train. Jay Zeldes under the Cropsey AIRS LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 105-foot-tall development will yield 765,291 square feet, with 656,498 square feet designated for residential space and 108,793 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 110 residences for senior citizens. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 21-foot-long rear yard.
Daniel Bernstein of Kutnicki Bernstein Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
