Foundation work is underway for a new five-story residential property at 378 Weirfield Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Designed by Aufgang Architects, the building will comprise 40,476 square feet, with 25,876 square feet designated for residential space. The property will yield 39 rental apartments averaging roughly 663 square feet apiece. The structure will also have a single cellar level and a 38-foot-long rear yard.
At this time, the building is expected to debut in spring 2023.
378 Weirfield Street is one of seven forthcoming properties in the neighborhood from The Horizon Group, a real estate development, investment, and construction management firm based in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The other sites are located at 376, 380, 389, and 391 Weirfield Street, 1438 Hancock Street, and 1504 Jefferson Avenue.
The Horizon Group reportedly purchased the sites in 2020 in a $14 million bundle. B6 Real Estate Advisors represented the unnamed seller in the transaction. It is likely that the neighboring sites on Weirfield Street will be combined into a large, subdivided structure rather than standalone properties.
