The affordable housing lottery has launched for 855 Dekalb Avenue, a five-story residential development in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by Beam Architects, the new-construction building yields 20 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are six units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $78,858 to $167,570.
Amenities include a shared laundry room and rooftop terrace. Residences have air conditioning, name-brand kitchen appliances and finishes, and private outdoor space in the form of either a balcony or patio. Units have spacious bedrooms and open kitchens and living areas.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are six two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,300 for incomes ranging from $78,858 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than August 9, 2021.
