The affordable housing lottery has launched for 152 East 116th Street HDFC, a five-story residential building in East Harlem, Manhattan. Built in 1910 and recently renovated by non-profit El Barrio Operation Fightback, the structure yields eight co-op residences and two commercial units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are seven units for residents at 90 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $70,672 to $116,010.
Residents will have washers and dryers in unit, energy-efficient appliances, and hardwood floors.
At 90 percent of the AMI, there are seven two-bedrooms with a monthly carrying fee of $1,943 and an estimated sales price of $208,854 for incomes ranging from $70,672 to $116,010. Buyers need three percent of the purchase price for a down payment.
Prospective applicants must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applicants who currently own or have previously purchased a home are ineligible. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than October 19, 2021.

this isn’t affordable housing!
Those finishes and fixtures are the CHEAPEST ones you can buy at Home Depot. Closet doors not painted. Cheap kitchen appliances, and those dollar store blinds! No wonder is “affordable”
Am I missing it, or is there no link to the actual lottery…?
Would like to apply for a 2 bedroom apt.
What ever happened to reflow income starting at 30 %-40% median. We don’t stand chance at mostly all the HDFC housing connect aptmnts something has to be done to aconmodate uz
