Mintz Attorneys is the latest high-profile tenant to join 919 Third Avenue, a 47-story office tower in Sutton Place, Manhattan. As its flagship New York office, the suite measures over 101,000 square feet on floors 37 through 39 and a partial concourse level.
“We’re delighted to welcome Mintz, Levin, et al to 919 Third Avenue,” said SL Green executive vice president and director of leasing and real property Steven Durels, whose company owns the building. “This large new lease is further confirmation of an improving leasing market as tenants increasingly make long-term commitments in preparation for a return to office.”
Newmark & Company Real Estate, Inc. represented Mintz in the transaction. SL Green was represented by in-house counsel.
“Our New York office has been a significant contributor to our success,” said managing member of Mintz’ New York office Stephen J. Gulotta, Jr. “We are growing rapidly in New York and we believe 919 is the perfect location for us to continue that growth and best serve the needs of our clients.”
Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and completed in 1970, 919 Third Avenue stands 615 feet tall and spans an entire block between East 55th and 56th Streets. The 1.5-million-square-foot tower was acquired by SL Green 2007 as part of a $6 billion buy-out of Reckson Associates Realty Corporation. Since that time, SL Green has completed a series of substantial upgrades including a new plaza entrance, modern elevator cabs, a renovated lobby with an espresso bar, and a bike room.

Sutton Place????
Yeah, pretty sure the border of Sutton Place is 2nd Ave. Some even say it’s 1st ave. 3rd is definitely just Midtown East.
