Permits have been filed for a 12-story mixed-use building at 2-33 50th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Located between Center Boulevard and 5th Street, the lot is near the Vernon Boulevard-Jackson Avenue subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Peter Papamichael of The Vorea Group is listed as the owner behind the applications under the 50th & 5th LIC LLC.

The proposed 125-foot-tall development will yield 443,449 square feet, with 414,946 square feet designated for residential space, 28,000 square feet for commercial space, and 503 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 499 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 831 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have 111 enclosed parking spaces, cellar levels, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Demolition permits have not been filed yet for the two-story warehouse building on the 76,000-square-foot lot. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
