The affordable housing lottery has launched for 567 Ocean Parkway, an eight-story residential building in Kensington, Brooklyn. Designed by Asher Hershkowitz Architect and developed by Sam Klein under the Ocean Parkway Apartments LLC, the structure yields 35 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 11 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $72,000 to $167,570.
Residents will have access to bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, gym, elevator, and outdoor areas including a rooftop terrace. Units include name-brand appliances and finishes, air conditioning, dishwasher, and hardwood floors.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two studios with a monthly rent of $2,100 for incomes ranging from $72,000 to $124,150; eight one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,188 for incomes ranging from $75,018 to $139,620; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,630 for incomes ranging from $90,172 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than October 27, 2021.
