The Sapir Organization has partnered with Industrious to create a new co-working office space at 261 Madison Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan. The co-working suite, a former WeWork property, will occupy the building’s ninth and tenth floors or approximately 44,000 square feet.
Founded in 2012, Industrious provides and manages a network of shared workplaces in more than 50 cities coast to coast. Their ten-year partnership agreement with The Sapir Organization will establish Industrious’ 12th location in New York City.
“Industrious adds to 261 Madison’s strong roster of innovative, industry leading companies that are drawn to our pre-built workspace and close proximity to Grand Central Terminal,” said Alex Sapir, president and CEO of The Sapir Organization. “As more companies return to work and look for cutting-edge space near transit hubs, 261 and 260 Madison are poised to play a leading role in Midtown’s office recovery.”
While information regarding the design team and interior renderings were not immediately available, the new location is expected to offer a café, meeting rooms, lounge areas, an open floor plan, exposed ceilings, and concrete floors.
The partners have not announced an anticipated date of completion.
