The affordable housing lottery has launched for 23 West Street, a 14-story mixed-use building also addressed as 40 Oak Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects, the structure yields 216 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 205 units for residents at 80 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $54,583 to $103,120.
Amenities include an on-site parking garage, bike storage, additional storage, shared laundry room, and recreation room. Units include stainless appliances and air conditioning.
At 80 percent of the AMI, there are 43 studios with a monthly rent of $1,528 for incomes ranging from $54,583 to $76,400; 54 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,634 for incomes ranging from $58,492 to $85,920; and 108 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,955 for incomes ranging from $70,218 to $103,120.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than March 31, 2022.
