The affordable housing lottery has launched for Dutch House, a seven-story mixed-use building at 37-01 30th Street in Astoria, Queens. Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Slate Property Group, the structure yields 199 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 56 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $87,635 to $167,570.
Residents will have access to a lobby with concierge, a cellar fitness room, bike storage, parking garage, package room, second-floor lounge, recreation room, and a shared rooftop terrace with a dog run, sun deck, grilling area, and lounge spaces. Units include washers and dryers, hardwood floors, and patios or balconies. Tenants are responsible for electricity including electric stove, hot water, and heat.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are 13 studios with a monthly rent of $2,556 for incomes ranging from $87,635 to $124,150; 38 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,698 for incomes ranging from $92,503 to $139,620; and five two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,166 for incomes ranging from $108,549 to $167,570.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than May 20, 2022.

Kenneth Reaper; You have to go to Housing Connect to sign up for these Affordable Housing buildings……Or get the address to the Office who’s in charge and send in a self address envelope requesting a application……
Good advice if he can afford one of these units. Does section 8 pay that much for a studio at the information provided.
