Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 381 Van Brunt Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Coffey Street and Van Brunt Street, the corner lot is closest to the Smith-9th Streets subway station, serviced by the F and G trains. Jack Tawil of RedHoek + Partners is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 40-foot-tall development will yield 24,167 square feet with 15,599 square feet designated for residential space and 8,568 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 11 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,418 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 30-foot-long rear yard and ten open parking spaces.

The design is a joint project between the Tel Aviv-based FAB314 Architecture Workshop and Pliskin Architecture.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
