Permits have been filed for an eight-story community facility building at 22 Lorraine Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Located between Otsego Street and Columbia Street, the lot is closest to the Smith-9th Streets subway station, served by the F and G trains. Joel Braver of Express Builders JB Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 62,045 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 81 adult home residences, with an average unit scope of 765 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 30-foot-long side yard.

Aufgang Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

This picture depicts NYCHA development at 7 Lorraine Street. 22 Lorraine Street is the empty lot on the other side of the street. If you’re going to post a story, at least verify your information.

Smith and 9th St Station is not located next to the Red Hook Projects. Proposed diagram or photo depicts lot is close to train station
