Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building with senior housing at 35 Otsego Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Located between Creamer Street and Lorraine Street, the lot is near the Smith-9th Streets subway station, served by the F and G trains. Joel Braver of Express Builders JB Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 85-foot-tall development will yield 126,815 square feet, with 121,858 square feet designated for residential space and 4,957 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 210 senior housing residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 510 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Aufgang Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
