Exterior work is wrapping up on 3ELEVEN, a 60-story residential skyscraper at 601 West 29th Street in Hudson Yards. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Douglaston Development, the 695-foot-tall structure is also known as Tower A in a two-building complex alongside 606 West 30th Street, and will yield 935 units, with 235 designated for affordable housing, as well as 15,000 square feet of retail space. Levine Builders is constructing the Midtown, Manhattan property, which is bound by Eleventh Avenue to the east, West 29th Street to the south, and West 30th Street to the north.
Façade installation on the podium levels has mostly concluded since our last update in December, when much of this section of the tower remained unfinished. The podium features large windows with black mullions framed by light-colored paneling. It looks like the ground floor is almost done and will soon be revealed from behind the sidewalk scaffolding and fencing. The construction elevator remains attached to the southern elevation as interior work continues.
The following photo from the High Line offers a good perspective of the entire building. Residents facing north and east will have views of Hudson Yards and Midtown, while those looking south and west can see Lower Manhattan and the Hudson River.
The property will feature 50,000 square feet of amenities including multiple tenant lounges, a gym with fitness studios, an outdoor swimming pool, several outdoor terraces, indoor and outdoor pet spaces, bicycle storage, a shared laundry room, and parking for 186 vehicles. Units come with washer and dryer, a dishwasher, hardwood floors, and energy-efficient appliances. The closest subway to the site is the 7 train at the Hudson Yards station in Bella Abzug Park to the north.
601 West 29th Street is slated for completion this summer.
