Construction Begins on The Arboretum at Farmingville at 510 Horseblock Road in Brookhaven, Long Island

Construction is now underway at 510 Horseblock Road, the site of a new 292-unit garden-style rental community in Farmingville, Long Island. Located within the Town of Brookhaven, the property previously functioned as a farm and spans roughly 62 acres.

BRP Companies, the current owner and developer of the project, acquired the property in April 2020, after the previous owner Kelly Development Group turned its attention toward another complex. The Arboretum’s 292 residences will include a mix of standard and loft-style apartments, townhouses, and single-family homes. A total of 30 units within the complex will be reserved for workforce housing.

Residents will have access to an assortment of amenities including a pool, a clubhouse, a fitness center with rooms designed for virtual programming and yoga, and a 7-acre park with walking trails and picnic areas.

Earlier this year, BRP Companies secured a $91 million construction loan provided through Santander Bank and arranged by JLL Capital Markets. Total project costs are estimated at $147 million.

According to the project team, delivery is on track for spring 2025.
