The affordable housing lottery has launched for 524 East 14th Street, a seven-story residential building known as EVGB in Manhattan’s East Village. Designed by Beyer Blinder Belle and developed by Extell Development Company, the structure yields 54 units within 253,432 square feet. Available on NYC Housing Connect is a waiting list to fill current and future vacancies for 50 units at 70 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $38,195 to $187,330.
Amenities include pet-friendly policies, gym, pool, party room, children’s playroom, bike storage lockers, package lockers, common area Wi-Fi, doorman, an on-site resident manager, green space, and a 19,000-square-foot roof deck, complete with fire pits, pergolas, and lounging areas. Tenants are responsible for electricity.
At 70 percent of the AMI, there are 12 studios with a monthly rent of $1,114 for incomes ranging from $38,195 to $74,760 and five one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,281 for incomes ranging from $43,920 to $84,070.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are eight one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,270 for incomes ranging from $77,829 to $156,130 and 25 two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,733 for incomes ranging from $93,703 to $187,330.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than July 18, 2022.
