Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 836 50th Street in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. Located between 8th and 9th Avenues, the interior lot is near the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway station, serviced by the D train. Xiu Qin Ye under the XQY LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 9,550 square feet, with 8,710 square feet designated for residential space and 840 square feet for community facility space. The building will have ten residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 871 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.
Ameriland Brook is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed in April 2022 for a two-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
