A new condominium property at 109 East 79th Street on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is now open to residents. From developer Legion Investment Group, the building is designed by Steven Harris Architects with interior design and landscaping by Rees Roberts + Partners.

Sales officially launched in 2021 and today, nearly all of the property’s 31 condominiums have sold, commanding over $4,000 per square foot on average. At launch, available units ranged from two- to five-bedroom floor plans including five penthouse units.

The largest residences span more than 6,000 square feet.

“We always knew the rarity of bringing a new residential development of this rare caliber and scale to the Upper East Side, one of New York City’s most prestigious neighborhoods.” said Victor Sigoura, founder and CEO of Legion Investment Group, “We couldn’t be more excited to have reached this significant milestone and to welcome our first residents home to 109 East 79.”

Inside the 20-story building, each home features ceiling heights up to 20 feet, designer appliances, hand-painted Italian cabinetry, and marble in each kitchen and bathroom.

Residents also have access to a multitude of amenity spaces including a library that overlooks a private garden, a resident lounge, a spa and sauna with multiple treatment rooms, a game room, a golf simulator, and a double-height fitness center. The latter includes a squash court with a retractable basketball hoop, and a movement studio design for private classes like Pilates.

“109 East 79 unarguably offers the best of the Upper East Side, providing residents unprecedented levels of finish and a design language unlike any other,” said Cathy Franklin of The Corcoran Group, who exclusively handled sales. “With closings commencing and a limited selection of residences remaining, this is the last chance for buyers to live in this highly sought-after boutique building located right at the heart of the prime Upper East Side.”
